The good points.
Host..Stan was very friendly and helpful with a change in bookings. However although the ‘family room’ was comfortable….it was not clean in the bathroom. The extractor fan was filthy, the bathroom floor…sticky to the feet, the top of the tiles caked with aged dust. Stan was apologetic…but in these Covid 19 days cleanliness is very important.

The fan was cleaned off after my comments, the same day, but if you looked into the fan cavity…the dust ‘inside’ was still evident. It wasnt removed to clean. The floor needed hot water & a mop cleaning into the corners and edges. The wall tiles just need a regular wipe off….not hard to do. But if you dont have pride in your job…you wont see what I see, because I am an unpologetic fuss pot. This was well below standard.
Stan said he only had 2 cleaners but showed me full bookings and heading into summer and school holidays…Stan you need more & fussier cleaners. Each time I went to the office…the tv was on in the room attached where you sit and wait for people to come to the office desk. I suggest a regular walk around and a spot check. You cant call yourself a manager…if you dont manage each area under your roof.

Great location, easy walk to the main strip of shops. Perfect for a 1-2 night stay. Well fitted out. Reasonably comfortable bed and decent pillows. Friendly staff with a really cute dog! Overall great accomodation for the price.

The online booking process somehow failed (by no fault of the motel) and despite there being no other vacancies, Stan (manager) found a way to make room for my family to be with each other at no extra charge. What a man! It’s rare to find such kindheartedness. The rooms are more than adequate, location is great. We will definitely be back!
