Barrington Coast snow a big winner!

Barrington Tops snow Facebook post

Social media loves Barrington Coast snow.

The first snowfall event of 2020 has reaped huge benefits on social media for Destination Barrington Coast.

The marketing team had a strategy for making the most of the snow news and closely monitored the weather forecasts last weekend. Their Facebook post on Sunday evening 31 May 2020 about pending snow reached 150,000 people and the subsequent post with the first snow photos reached 125,000 people in just 24 hours.

In the three days since, Barrington Coast social media content has been displayed 370,000 times across Facebook generating 50,000 engagements including 4,500 comments.

The buzz also added 860 new Facebook followers bringing our total to over 64,000 (more than double Port Stephens and more than four times Port Macquarie!).

Both posts generated media interest and positive articles on the destination brand including Prime7 TV, ABC Radio and ABC news online at https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-06-02/snow-falls-at-the-barrington-tops/12271816
