Triathlon Championships return to Forster

NSW Triathlon Club Championships Forster

Following a three year hiatus, the NSW Triathlon Club Championships will return to Forster for three years starting in 2020.

The event, which remains one of the most hotly contested and exciting weekend across the Triathlon NSW calendar, will be delivered by Triathlon NSW’s race director partner, Elite Energy.

Well known in the Great Lakes region of the Barrington Coast, Elite Energy has more than 30 years experience in running multisport events.

Next year’s event, which will be held on Saturday, May 23, is expected to attract more than 1500 athletes, technical officials volunteers, staff and family and friends.

In the past the event has injected around $500,000 into the local economy.

In consultation with MidCoast Council, Triathlon NSW has specifically selected this date to give the local community a boost during a traditionally slower period in the season.

Forster Keys will be the location for the start line, finish line and transition.

Midcoast Council Mayor David West said “This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our beautiful backyard to visitors from across the State.”
