The historic town of Wingham on the Mid North Coast is the perfect place for a winery, cellar door and fully licenced wine bar and locals and tourists alike are coming back to Jacaranda Estate since it opened its doors.
It took four years in the making for Mark and his wife Belinda who trusted their instincts that grapes grown in Wingham would produce wine that tastes good. Their cellar door opened in December 2017 and visitors are already giving it 5 star reviews.
“The great thing is our wines are fantastic,” Mark Smith, co-owner of the Jacaranda Estate said. Mark credits their viticulture techniques and using a “great winemaker” for the results.
On a trip to Wingham, turn left at the Bowling Club after driving from Taree and then into Appletree Street.
The cellar door is open 12 to 3 during the week and 12 to 6 on Friday through Sunday.
Since opening the cellar door and wine bar Jacaranda Estate has quickly become one of the top things to do in Wingham and the Manning Valley and is highly recommended. If wine is not your beverage of choice, they now have a variety of ciders including pear, apple and mixed berry cider to name a few.
